How to clean your jewelry

You can always brush your jewelry yourself with warm water, soap (Mr Proper) and a soft brush. Wipe the jewelry dry with a soft cloth. You can cook your 18 carat golden diamond jewelry in a solution of water and these soaps for a couple of minutes, then rinse under warm water. Your jewelry will shine and be clean!

Over time, jewelry loses its shine and becomes mat. Blinking with a cloth will no longer do the job. Only professional polishing can make your jewelry shine again. You can not do this yourself. The only way to take away the scratches and really make your jewelry shine is to polish it with a professional polishing machine.

Make it a habit to have your jewelry checked (settings) and polished or rhodiated (for white gold)every one or two years.

The frequency for polishing your jewelry depends on how often you wear your jewelry.Jewelry should be professionally cleaned and inspected once a year, just like a fine automobile.

Periodic inspection and maintenance of jewelry helps prevent costly repairs or replacements. Personally inspect your jewelry as you wear it by looking for loose or chipped stones, worn metal, or malfunctioning clasps.
